OnePlus has had a busy year, releasing many phones at regular intervals. So far, the OnePlus 10 Pro, 10R (Ace Edition), Ace Racing Edition, Nord 2T, Nord CE 2, and Nord CE 2 Lite have been released. We’re confident that the business has a slew of phones in the works for the second half of the year, including the OnePlus 10 Ultra. According to a recent report from tipster Max J, the OnePlus 10 Ultra will not be released this year; instead, the company will introduce a new T-series phone called the OnePlus 10T 5G.
Will the OnePlus 10 Ultra be available for purchase?
At the time, there were little details on the OnePlus 10 Ultra, with only a few patent filings and a few leaks pointing to its existence. According to what we can discern, the Ultra will be positioned above the OnePlus 10 Pro in the company’s smartphone lineup. Given that the OnePlus 10 Pro was only released in spring 2022, the Ultra variant may take some time to arrive.
OnePlus has said on the Chinese social media platform Weibo that a new flagship phone would be released in Q3 – which spans from July to September – and that it will almost certainly be the 10 Ultra. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, who forecasts a debut in August or September, we can definitely expect it around the end of that window.
However, it might not arrive. Max Jambor, a rival leaker, disagrees, tweeting that the OnePlus 10T 5G will be the “next and only flagship phone arriving this year.” Of again, even if that’s the case, the spec leaks below might still be correct – they merely relate to the 10T.
OnePlus 10T Specifications
So far, we only have one solid source regarding OnePlus 10 (or 10T, assuming that’s the name) specifications: a report from Digit India in partnership with leaker OnLeaks.
The first important point is that even OnePlus is unsure about the phone’s processor. The business is reportedly testing two different versions of the phone at the moment: one with MediaTek’s current flagship Dimensity 9000, and the other with Qualcomm’s next-gen flagship CPU, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. OnePlus has since announced that an 8+ Gen 1 phone is on the way, so it’ll almost probably be the chip we see unless the company has other flagships planned this year.
Display and Design
A 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density of 402ppi might be included in the OnePlus 10T. The display is believed to have a punch-hole design with less bezels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Corning Gorilla Glass might be used for the display.
Except for one element, the design remains a mystery: This will be the first OnePlus flagship without the company’s signature alert slider. This has already been removed from several of the phone’s lower-cost models, but it’s disappointing to see it removed from the company’s core range.
Early leaks for the Oppo Reno 8 provide one probable estimate of the design. Early renderings for the phone suggested a design that looks a lot like the OnePlus 10 Pro, although the actual Reno 8 phone ended up looking a lot different, we wouldn’t be shocked if the normal OnePlus 10 took the same approach.
Cameras
A 64MP main sensor, a 16MP wide-angle sensor, a 5MP macro sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an LED flash are believed to be included on the back of the OnePlus 10T. The gadget will most likely include a 16MP selfie camera on the front. AF Phase Detection, Auto Flash, Auto Focus, Bokeh Effect, Continuous Shooting, Exposure Compensation, Face Detection, Continuous Shooting, Exposure Compensation. Some of the numerous features that the camera is anticipated to enable are geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), ISO adjustment, Optical image stabilisation, Touch to focus, and White balance presets.
Performance and Battery
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 + engine and Adreno 660 GPU are likely to be included in the OnePlus 10T. The device’s RAM as well as internal memory might be 8GB and 128GB, respectively, with no room for expansion. The smartphone might come with a big 5000mAh Li-ion battery. It could also be able to charge quickly.
Software and Networking
The OnePlus 10T might ship with Oxygen OS, which is based on Android 11. 5G, dual sim VoLTE(Nano + Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, GPS, NFC, as well as Bluetooth 5.1 are all possible connectivity choices for the smartphone. A 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C connector, and an on-screen fingerprint scanner are all possibilities for the smartphone’s connections.
In any case, the CPU will be combined with 8/12GB RAM as well as 128/256GB storage, as is customary for OnePlus. According to reports, the display will be a 6.7-inch FHD AMOLED. This display will not only have a 120Hz refresh rate, but it will also employ LTPO 2.0 technology to drop the resolution down to as low as 1Hz to save power – a first for an FHD+ panel, to our knowledge. A 50MP primary camera with a 16MP ultra wide and 2MP macro will be found on the back, while a “enhanced” 32MP selfie camera will be found on the front. However, no information on the precise sensors, apertures, or other crucial parameters for any of them has been released yet.
