The new mid-range smartphone from Poco is out now! Last Tuesday, Poco debuted the Poco X3 Pro in India. Though this phone is the successor of the last Poco X3, however, due to the powerful processor it is comparable to the 2018 Poco F1. The display and charging capabilities remind us of the Poco X3. In addition, to these features, Poco has brought in the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC, a major upgrade from the flagship Snapdragon 855+ processor in 2019.
Furthermore, the chipset in this phone has previously been placed only in a handful of devices in India such as the newly launched OnePlus 9R. Some other insane features of this include up to 8GB of RAM, 48-megapixel quad rear camera and 120Hz display. The new Poco competes in the market with Vivo V20, Mi 10i, Realme 8 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, amongst others.
Features and Specifications
The Poco X3 Pro is packed with a 120Hz refresh rate, 6.67-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,400 resolution and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC an integrated Adreno 640 GPU powers this cutting-edge phone with up to 8GB of RAM. Additionally, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protects this phone and the front features a DotDisplay. In India, Poco X3 Pro is one of the few affordable smartphones in the market with a Snapdragon 8-series chip.
The camera is quite well-equipped in this phone. It features a 48 MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, 8 MP ultra-wide shooter, 2 MP macro shooter and a 2 MP depth sensor. At the same time, the Poco X3 Pro features a 20 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 lens. The phone has EIS and records videos at up to 4K at 30fps or 960fps for slow-motion video recording.
The Poco X3 Pro is a bulky device weighing 215 grams, with a type-C USB port. The phone packs a 5,160mAh battery. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, this phone has an IP53 rating for splash protection.
The phone has power and volume buttons on the right side. Also, the fingerprint sensor is available on the power button. There is a hybrid dual-SIM try on the left. Lastly, there is a secondary microphone and an IR emitter on the top.

The starting price of the Poco X3 Pro is Rs 18,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model, while Rs 20,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. ICICI Bank Credit Card or EMI transactions are issuing a discount of Rs 1000 on these models. Poco X3 Pro is available in three colours- Graphite Black, Golden Bronze and Steel Blue.
By exchanging your Poco F1 costing Rs 7000 you can grab the base variant of this phone for the same price, by also using the additional Rs 1000 off through the bank card. Poco X3’s price will also see a reduction by Rs 2,000 from April onwards to Rs 14,999.Our Verdict at the Moment
At the moment, we cannot provide a final verdict on this recently launched phone. We have spent little time with this phone. On the other hand, this phone seems like a good value for money, budget option. Poco has made a few cuts in this version, but these cuts are not highly significant.
Departments that place Poco in the first place for performance have definitely received enhancements. Nevertheless, the competition currently is tough in the market for first place.
