Apple has finally unveiled the iPhone 14 series. The standard model is an upgrade over the iPhone 13, while the iPhone 14 Pro models have received some significant and intriguing changes that will undoubtedly appeal to a large number of customers. Apple has even unveiled a new iPhone 14 Plus model, which will serve as a replacement for the iPhone mini. Apple has discontinued the iPhone 11 series with the release of the new iPhones. Here’s all the information you need to know about the new iPhone’s 14 series.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus
Apple has finally adopted the punch-hole display design with the iPhone 14 Pro models. This design has been seen on most Android phones and has now made its way to iPhones. Unfortunately, the classic iPhone 14 and 14 Plus models continue to use the older wider notch design seen on the iPhone 13 series. The phones will be available in five different colours: midnight, starlight, blue, purple, and product red.
However, those looking for a larger screen and battery at a cheaper price will be able to get them with the new iPhone 14 Plus variant. The 14 has a 6.1-inch screen, while the Plus model has a 6.7-inch screen, which is also available on the iPhone’s Pro Max. The devices feature an OLED screen with a peak brightness of 1-200nits and Dolby Vision support. Both iPhones feature the same A15 Bionic chip found in last year’s models.
Camera
Both phones feature the same dual camera setup on the back, but they have a new 12-megapixel main camera with a bigger sensor and 1.9micron pixels. It includes OIS support. Apple claims that the new devices will improve low-light performance by 49 percent over previous models. There is a new Photonic Engine for improved image processing to provide better low-light photos. According to the company, Night-mode exposure is now twice as fast.
The front-facing camera is also 12-megapixel, but it now supports a hybrid system with a TrueDepth camera that will assist in locking focus faster, even in low light. There is also a new video action mode that makes use of the entire sensor along with “overscan” as well as “roll correction” to deliver more stable video.
Features
The iPhone 14 includes features like crash detection as well as Satellite connectivity. The latter is a fantastic feature that will allow people to communicate with rescuers in areas where there is no network coverage. Your iPhone will automatically locate a satellite, but you must be outside with a clear view of the sky to do so. Once the connection is established, your iPhone will be able to share the location. This feature is dubbed “Emergency SOS via Satellite” by Apple. Apple will provide this feature for free, but only for the next two years with the iPhone’s 14. It will first be available in the United States and Canada. It will be available in other regions beginning in November.
iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max
Most aspects of Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro as well as 14 Pro Max have been significantly improved. The devices feature a pill-shaped punch-hole display, which is the most significant design improvement over last year’s models. There are two cutouts: one for the Face ID components and the other for the front-facing camera. Surprisingly, the notifications on the notch will be visible in form animation.
They have narrower bezels around the display. It is made of surgical-grade stainless steel and features a textured matte glass design. The standard Pro model has a 6.1-inch screen, whereas the Pro Max has a 6.7-inch display. The handsets will be available in the following colours: Space Black, Silver, Gold, and Deep Purple.
The handsets will be available in the following colours: Space Black, Silver, Gold, and Deep Purple. The Pro models, as opposed to the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, get the new A16 Bionic chipset.
There is a triple rear camera setup for photography, including a 48-megapixel primary camera, which is a significant upgrade over the 12-megapixel sensor seen on previous models. It is powered by a new 12-megapixel ultra wide camera with 1.4 m pixels, which should result in sharper, more detailed images. The system also includes a new telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
