Asus ROG Phone 6 Specifications
Design and Build
We’ve had a good look at the ROG Phone 6’s design since Asus handed out some very-early engineering prototypes to showcase the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. A listing seen on the TENAA certification website, however, depicts a rather different layout.
We don’t know if the design has changed since the initial samples were given out or if there will be other varieties coming in July. Whatever the situation, YouTuber Dave2D and Android Central both had the chance to use a model of the gadget and offered us a close-up look at pretty much everything outside the cameras and software updates.
The early examples had a special glass back that is semi-transparent and reveals part of the internals. The entire device exudes the distinctive flair of ROG, and the word “Dare” is boldly written across the rear panel. Although it’s not yet obvious if alternative finishes will be available, we’re not sure about the huge wordmark, so we’re hoping there will be other choices.

You can hold the phone in either landscape or portrait position as it charges thanks to the standard twin USB-C connectors, which means your gaming won’t be interrupted. Additionally, there is a headphone port if you want low latency audio. The absence of open cooling vents is a significant difference, which piques our interest in the new thermal solution.
The ROG Phone 6 will be IPX4 protected, according to Asus, which claims it is the first gaming phone in the world to have an IP classification.
There is a back display on the smartphone seen in the TENAA listing, which is different from the ROG Phone 5 but was not present in the previous prototypes. Additionally, it has an opaque back, and extra high-resolution photos helped to reinforce this design. Instead of the prototypes, we’ll probably see a design similar to this when it launches.
Hardware
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU is the only piece of hardware that has been officially verified, but it’s an intriguing one since it implies that the ROG Phone 6 will likely be the fastest gaming phone ever made.
The prototype outperformed pretty much everything on the market, according to tests conducted by Android Central. The iPhone 13 Pro series stood out as the sole exception, narrowly outperforming the ROG Phone in 3DMark Wildlife Extreme.
According to a listing on China’s 3C certification website, the ROG Phone 6 will probably include 65W fast charging, and we can probably anticipate a battery capacity of between 5850 and 6000mAh.
The rest of it is all conjecture, although we anticipate a display that is around 6.78 inches larger than its predecessor. Much larger would be difficult to achieve. To complement the Red Magic 7, it’ll have a high refresh rate display that may go from 144Hz to 165Hz. We wouldn’t be shocked to see a sharp increase in touch sampling rate too, given that Asus needs to catch up to Nubia’s most recent device.
Camera and Network Connectivity
The back of the phone has a triple camera setup. A 64 megapixel sensor makes up the primary camera, followed by a 16 megapixel and a 5 megapixel sensor. The selfie camera on the front of the phone is 32 megapixels.
The camera has 4K quality video and image capture, as well as functions for night vision, panoramic, and 1080P at 30 frames per second and 730P at 30 frames per second slow motion. The typical camera functions include touch focusing, digital zoom, facial identification, and auto flash. The high dynamic range mode’s photographic characteristics (HDR).
The phone has 5G and 4G networks (supports india band 40). Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, mobile hotspot, and mass storage device are other connectivity options.
